  • My xanga site emailed me and told me that it missed me.  Weird.

anyway, for any one of you who still check this and or are subscribed to my posts, here you go.

Got married about seven months ago. it was a wonderful day, lots of colors. lots of fun, and food.

currently, still working for Lake Drive Endo. love it.

still in the house on Sherman, currently in the process of remodeling. money back from the government will help us facilitate this goal. yippie!  it is nice to get married and get so much more money back!

married life is good for other things as well. i have learned a lot about myself and my flaws. working on those. i would say that i am better person. we all need a calming presence in our lives and i would say that my husband is definently that for me. he is also an irritating one at times, but that is to be expected i suppose as i fulfill that role in his life as well.

looking forward to this summer. there are no big plans such as a wedding to plan, or going off to camp.  there are just two weeks off of work to go camping and backpacking. camping with timothy, and backpacking with my mom. now we just have to pray that the weather cooperates for both weeks :).

not to much else going on that is new or exciting at this time. i am sure that there will be next year when i post again!

    so long for now.

Guess who's engaged?  oh, that would be me. start reserving August 25, 2007!! (yeah, you think we can do it in four months.....well. let's hope so because we are going to try!)

life is in a large state of flux.  everything changing.  new job starting april 9. new hair, new glasses, new puppy (adopted the crack puppy from next door), new stage in life.......crazy.....i can't even imagine what is next!!!

take care all. see you soon, i hope :)

  • hey there one and all. instead of last time saying "i have had this thing for over a year," i can say, i haven't posted anything for over a year!

in that year, much has happened. i took the summer off from work as intended. it was great. there were some iffy spots, but if we didn't have those, then we wouldn't be as thankful. anway, the summer was grand. the house got used by many who needed housing on the weekends even though it was quite hot and muggy when we were here. anyway, this summer also brought a certain someone into my life.  timothy. he's great. we have been dating since near the end of summer.

the house is still in a state of repair and such. things get done over long lengths of time. for a while i was the only one living here, but anna moved in during december some time. so i have a roommate once again.

the job is stressful and i will probably be changing that up in the near future. i just can't sleep during the day like i used to be able to!

anyway, that is the life and times of miss louise.

  • so i have had this thing for over a year now, and have had only like 10 entries. and in looking back at things, all my pictures disappeared. what is up with that? sort of bummed. oh well.

    so life updates......

taking the summer off from the hospital to go back and work at camp. i am truely excited and eager to see what this summer will bring.

my father and i worked on my house yesterday. now all the doors that are supposed to close now do! how awesome is that? no more unexpected visits from the dog or cat while in the bathtub.  also, i have visualized how my kitchen will be when i am done with it. this is exciting for me because i have the vision, but it might not be exciting to you because you don't have to think about such things.

the WORK program goes well on saturday mornings. very happy to see that it is going so well. it surely takes away much stress from my everyday week.

my roommates are awesome. we got the opportunity to hangout quite a bit this weekend. blessed by that for sure.

got to hang out with the majority of my siblings last night, i can't believe that useless is not an appropriate adjective for underware.....apples to apples

okay, that is all for now. and for all of you who read this, hey, we should hang out. call me.

  • so i lied about keeping everyone updated on my current life events....it becomes hard when you have to move, take on more responsibility at work, visit people in different places, and find somewhere in there to sleep so you don't go 72 hours with eight hours of interupted sleep times :) so that was my excuse as to why i don't stay up on these things. anway, now to the acutal update!

I HAVE MY HOUSE!!!!!!! yay!!! for those of you have seen it, i know you love it, and for those of you have not, come on by to see where i will be spending lots of time and money for the next few years! the address 1106 Sherman SE. the residents: Louise, Jodi, and Jasmine. current condition: mostly washed down, but in need of lights in kitchen and dinning room (the previous residents took them with them when they moved) and a working sink in the upstairs bathroom. carpets have been cleaned and we are very close to actually moving in as a result. we had our first house dinner (anna came too) on the front porch. i am very excited about living with Jodi and Jasmine. we have been already and plan to have more fun learning about eachother and spending time together. (awww) now i just have to convince them that living with a snake named sophacles will not be soo bad.

while the house will occupy my time at home, being one of the only two charge nurses on nights during the week keeps me busy at work. it is a new level of responsibily. instead of taking care of patients, i take care of other nurses.  this involves starting difficult iv's, creating assignments, makeing sure one nurse is not being overwhelmed, and most of all, being a resource for all questions. this is a rewarding job in that i get to help the newer nurses learn how to better do their job.  and we have lots of newer nurses.  that is how i, with only one real year of experience, am the nurse with second highest senority. anyway, life at work is stressful, but i am learning to like it again.

my second job is about to start up again. i have once again agreed to lead the YEP program. this time it will be a team effort with my friend Anna Wolff. this i hope will be a strong pairing and an effective leadership for the first semester at least (before she leaves to israel for spring.....what is she thinking :)).  so plan on louise being busy on saturday mornings once again.

this weekend holds for me the wedding of a dear friend. i get to stand up for her and everything. i am excited that she has found the one man with whom she wants to spend the rest of her life. yay lisa and corrin!  then as if one wedding is not enough, i have another wedding to go to later in the day for a camp Friend. (punny) then i get to spend some time with a good friend of mine later in the evening. busy weekend following a busy week! ahhhhh

okay that is the life of louise waid in a nutshell at this point in time.
